Colorful anecdotes from a storied three-decade long criminal practice are conveyed through the eyes of an experienced and humorous storyteller. Dayvid Figler discusses difficult topics including theories of punishment, the evolution of due process, the impact of victim's rights movements, and the boundaries of prosecutorial and judicial discretion.

Las Vegas

Lifelong Las Vegan Dayvid Figler grew up literally in the shadow of Las Vegas Strip Hotels. He has a personal story of a casino employee and gambler, but also as a keen historian of Las Vegas history and an integral part of the Las Vegas arts and culture community for over 30-years.

Problem Gambling and Criminal Justice

Dayvid Figler is a national expert on where criminal justice and gaming intersect. He has presented to multiple gaming jurisdictions on legal matters and programming related to responsible gaming and problem gambling. He was the intricately involved in the formation of Nevada's first problem gambling diversion court which almost instantly became a model for the rest of the country.
